Really great work by the IMPACT team to locate these stolen vehicles and identify the suspects, which led to these arrests, states Insp. Rob Vermeulen, Officer in Charge of IMPACT.
A big thank-you to the New Westminster Police Department for all their assistance. Their help was instrumental in getting this done.
These stolen vehicles are being returned to their rightful owners thanks to a regional effort to find those responsible and hold them accountable for their actions, states NWPD Inspector Trevor Dudar.
Our message to car thieves is we’re watching, we’re sharing information, and it’s only a matter of time before you see the inside of a court room.
IMPACT also received assistance from Surrey RCMP, RCMP Air Services, LMD Integrated Police Dog Services and CFSEU.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
IMPACT is an integrated unit, currently made up of officers from the RCMP, Vancouver Police, New Westminster Police, Delta Police, Transit Police and ICBC Special Investigations Unit.
